Everything Happens for a Reason

Sometime's life doesn't go according to plan. Sometime's what you think is going to be your happily ever after doesn't turn out to be just that. What you might not understand is, God has another plan for you. It might take a while for you to realize why things happen the way they do. Then one day you see the bright light shining at the end of the tunnel, you laugh, and realize that everything happens for a reason.

God is within her, She will not fail; Psalm 46:5

Summer Beauty Essentials

Summer time is all about sun kissed skin, beach waves humidity frizzed hair and pedicured toes. Check out my top 10 picks for Summer Beauty Essentials.

Why I love these Products:

I love this Bare Minerals Bronzer because it gives you beautiful sun kissed skin.

The Hempz Pomegranate Body Moisturizer not only smells good, but also provides your skin with Vitamins A, C, & E and helps the the overall health and condition of your skin.

Redken Full Swirl will fight off frizz, seal in moisture and lock out humidity while giving you a curly/wavy look.

My favorite hairspray to fight off humidity is the Bamboo Anti-Humidity Hairspray.

I love a natural bronzed lip color in the summer, the Nude Beach Lip Gloss does just that, plus it has a cool LED light and mirror attached!

My favorite hair accessory to wear is the Pink Pewter stretch bands because they are so versatile plus who doesn't love to sparkle?!

If you can't make it to the salon for a pedi, just give yourself one at home with the OPI Professional Foot File.

Keep your hair color fresh and free of chlorine build up using the Purify Shampoo after spending the day at the pool/beach.

Hot Pink is my favorite color and this Zoya Nail Color is a summer must!

Keep your skin protected from the UVA/UVB rays with the Sunshield Facial Moisturizer

All product opinions are my own. What are your favorite beauty products? Please share them with me below, I would love to test them out! :)

Casual Friday

I have to say... Instagram sure can be used as a great tool for finding fun unique items! One day... like everyday I was looking on Instagram, and stumbled across this cute line of graphic prints called Casual Friday. There are a lot of graphic lines out there, but something about this one really caught my eye. The unique sayings and the simplicity of the font was very intriguing. As I looked more into the line, I realized that they were going to be at the Chicago Style Show which I was getting ready to attend! Of course once I got to market finding the Casual Friday booth was on the top of my list!

Arriving to Chicago!

Ocean Breeze

Since I never made it to the ocean this summer, I decided I would bring the "ocean" to my Outfit of the Day OOTD. The color of this dress just makes me feel happy when I wear it.

Two Girls in Music City!

A few months ago, one of my best friends Allison was traveling to Nashville for work, and asked if I wanted to join her for a girls weekend. Of course I said yes, Nashville was pretty close to the top of my bucket list! Allison lives in Chicago, so its not too often that we get to see each other. It was a quick weekend trip, but we had the best time catching up, laughing and checking out the local Honky Tonks! We stayed at the Grand Ole Opy Hotel, shopped, went to a couple local Brewery's, Country Music Hall of Fame, Broadway Street, and of course... a Bloody Mary or two! Here are some of my favorite photos during our trip...

Of course I couldn't resist a photo with this!

My favorite, the Miranda Lambert exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame

Music City is now one of my favorite places that I have visited, and I am so glad I got to experience it with one of my best friends! If you are looking for a fun place to take a "girls trip" I would highly recommend it! One thing that I have recently learned, is that it is easy to get caught up in "life" and loosing touch with your friends can be easy. A true friend will stick by you in good times and in bad. Tell them how much you appreciate them, laugh, and don't forget "Girl Time" is a must!

Run or Dye 5K

Fitness has always been very important to me. I love taking work out classes, sports, dance, yoga, but running has never been something I have really enjoyed until last summer. I love to put on my headphones, turn up the music, and run! I have never done a 5k until this summer, and I've done two now! To most runner's a 5k is no problem, but to me it as a big accomplishment. My friend Karie and I recently did the Run or Dye run which was so much fun!

Must Have Dress

We recently got this amazing teal and navy printed dress in my boutique, and it has flown off our racks!  From the colors, to the print, to the unique criss cross back, it is the perfect dress for any occasion!

Essie Nail Polish 'Naughty Nautical'

I decided to keep my accessories simple by only adding earrings and a ring. My Essie Nail Polish color 'Naughty Nautical' matched the dress perfectly. This dress is also a great transitional piece to add to your fall wardrobe. Just add a jacket, navy tights and a pair of heels or booties. No matter how you wear it, you are sure to turn heads in this one!
